Welcome to day 27 of my 31 Days of Inspiring Bouquet Ideas! This stunning fall design features red gerberas, orange roses, green cymbidium and dendrobium orchids, yellow spray roses, snapdragons, and red hypericum. Greens used for backing and fill include plumosa, Bells of Ireland and hanging amaranthus. A few faux fall leaves (supplied by the bride) were also worked into the fall design.
While this is still a hand-tied bouquet, the stems are arranged so that the basic shape is not round but oblong. This allows for the inclusion of hanging elements to one side and gives the overall design a cascade look.
In this bouquet the stems are first wrapped in a cream-colored satin ribbon and then wrapped again in an olive green over-lay ribbon, which was made by the bride’s mother.
Both the garden courtyard gazebo ceremony and the reception were held at the Knott’s Berry Farm Resort in Buena Park, CA. The head table arrangement features the same flowers as in the bride’s bouquet, with leather fern added as a base.
The toss bouquet features orange roses, yellow snapdragons, hypericum, plumosa, yellow spray roses and sprigs of dendrobium orchids. Stems are hand-tied in a cream colored satin ribbon wrap.
Gerberas, orchids, roses and hanging amaranthus in the vibrant colors of red, green, orange and yellow are good flower selections for a fall cascade design.
Be sure to join me tomorrow for hyacinths and peonies!
